Features
SW-5000 Non-contact Tonometer uses a rapid air pulse to applanate ( flatten ) the cornea,
which is detected via its electro-optical system. The Intraocular pressure ( IOP ) is estimated
by measuring the force of the air jet at the instance of applanation. A fast and accurate
measuring process, embedded corneal elastic modulus and 24 hour IOP trend analysis sytem,
making the SW-5000 NCT an inexpensive ophthalmic instrument for ophthalmologists.
Used for post-operative IOP evaluation, glaucoma patients or those at risk from glaucoma.















The ocular response analyzer ( ORA ) is a non-contact, air puff tonometer that does not
require topical anaesthesia and provides additional information on the bio mechanical
properties of the cornea. It uses an air pulse to deform the cornea into a slight concavity.
The difference between the pressures at which the cornea flattens inward and outward
is measured by the ophthalmic instrument and termed corneal hysteresis.
The SW-5000 non-contact tonometer automatically uses this value to correct for
the effects of the cornea on measurement.
